RaTION CALCULATION

For brief questions about the use of Este products in your horse's ration, please contact us free of charge. Owners who would like to have the ration fully screened, with a calculation of the optimal amount and ratio of different feedstuffs, can order a ration calculation via our webshop. A calculation is made for one horse or group of horses that need the same nutrition (comparable age, lifestyle and amount of work). Ration calculations are performed by Dr. Sara Torfs, PhD, equine veterinarian and Diplomate ECEIM (European college equine internal medicine). After purchasing a ration calculation, she will contact you within 1-3 working days to find out the necessary information about your horse and its current diet.

It is useful to already collect some data. Please weigh the daily amounts of each feedstuff, for concentrates / grains / supplements as well as forage (weight of the portion of hay, alfalfa, beet pulp, ...). Furthermore, Dr. Torfs will need the name and possibly the label of each mixed feed or supplement - with preferably a photo of the hay / silage and a photo of your horse (s) in side view without a blanket.

With this information and data about your horse(s) such as age, sex, type and intensity of the work, body condition, she will then calculate an appropriate ration, taking into account your preferences for feed materials and based as much as possible on your current ration. Dr. Torfs will compose a ration that is best for your horse and feasible for you.
